Meath junior football manager Damien Griffin
Damien Griffin of the Na Fianna club was ratified as the new manager of the Meath junior football team at the March meeting of the county board.
Griffin was a selector with Pat Coyle last year and will have Packy Henry (Cortown), Martin Blake (St Brigid's) and Stan Gibney as his assistants.
Francis Kearney of Wolfe Tones asked why the appointment was so late in being made but chairman Conor Tormey said that Meath's first championship game was not until May 29th.
