St. Michaels 0-15
Trim 0-10.

The young ladies of St. Michaels played host to their counterparts from Trim in Carlanstown on Monday evening last and they came away smiling as they ran out 5 point winners after a very entertaining match played before a sizeable crowd.

Trim opened the scoring and were 0-2 up after five minutes, Patricia Owens then got St. Michaels on the scoreboard with two excellent points. Trim then added three points in as many minutes to put them 0-5 to 0-2 ahead on eight minutes however they failed to score again until the 22nd minute by which time Haley Doyle 0-3, Lorraine Curtis 0-2, Yvonne Farrelly 0-1 and Patricia Owens 0-1 had put St. Michaels into a 0-9 to 0-6 interval lead.

Both sides exchanged 2 points apiece in the first five minutes of the second half with Jessica Connell and player of the match Patricia Owens registering for the home side. Both sides then went through a scoreless 10 minute spell where possession was the name of the game and it was St. Michaels who eventually got the upper hand as the hard working Jennie Tully popped 3 points over the crossbar while Hannah Morris completed the scoring as the man to man marking of the St. Michaels backs prevented Trim scoring for the final 15 minutes of the match.
