Kilskyre came out on top in this hard-fought and very entertaining Division 2 Hurling League game in Kilskyre on Sunday evening.

The visitors started off strong with some well-taken points, but when Kilskyre settled in they took control with Padrag Muldoon in superb form at full back, Sean Geraghty and Pa Baugh, playing in a new role at full-forward, sending Kilskyre in at half itme leading 2-8 to 0-7.

In the second half the Athboy outfit started out the strongest, but it was Kilskyre, with an outstanding display from Tom Shine, pulled away in the end with a well-deserved victory.

Best for Kilskyre were Padraig Muldoon, Sean Geraghty, his younger brothre Michael, Pa Baugh, Niall Farrelly and an inspired player-coach Tom Shine.
