AFL3: Fianna win in the 'Wood
February 27, 2012

Na Fianna's Jamie Queeney
Na Fianna 2-17
Kilmainhamwood 0-7
Na Fianna recorded their second victory in the Division 3 'A' League when they made the long journey to Kilmainhamwood on Sunday.
A significant factor in the South Meath team's victory was the contribution of 1-5 from play from county player Jamie Queeney. While the home team opened the scoring with a pointed free, Na Fianna went on to dominate around the middle of the field and a series of points from Dalton McDonagh, Conor Downey, Queeney, Ollie Lewis, Dean Henrick and Michael Foley left them leading by 1-10 to 0-3 at half time.
'The Wood' again got the opening score of the second half and were much more effective but poor shooting and decision making in front of goal made their task very difficult. Further Queeney points and a Conor Downey goal saw Na Fianna run out easy winners.
