February 27, 2012

Moynalty's Kevin McCormack
Moynalty started very well with a lot of possession and opened the scoring with a well taken point from play from Paul Lynch. They had the ball in the visitors half for most of the first 15 mins without adding to their score. St Pauls equalised through a Joe Sweeney free kick. Paul Lynch put the home side ahead again with a well struck 45. St Pauls then went ahead scoring 1-2, with the goal from Richie Gibbons, before Stephen Blackburn scored a free for Moynalty. The visitors struck again with 1-1, with Gibbons landing his second goal. Kevin Mc Cormack scored two points for Moynalty to leave the half time score Moynalty 0-5, St Pauls 2-4.

Moynalty introduced Damien Coldrick into midfield at the break along with making some positional changes that seemed to have immediate effect. They scored 4 unanswered points through Christy Cahill, Kevin McCormack (2) and Ollie Sheridan. St Pauls scored from a Daniel Coyne free which proved to be their only score of the second half.

Moynalty scored four more points through Bob Maguire, Ollie Sheridan, and two more by Christy Cahill to leave the final score Moynalty 0-13, St Pauls 2-5. A well deserved win for Moynalty with Kevin Mc Cormack very impressive for winners Moynalty.
