While Kilbride got off to a good start clocking up a three point lead thanks to Finbar Clarke it was short lived with bad handling of the ball and bad passes Longwood took advantage of the bad play.

Longwood opened their account with a point from Anthonty Healy and Sean Sheridan also found the target with a great point from play with his left boot. Karl Ennis was getting on a lot of ball for Longwood around the middle and he got the next three points for the village men, one from 40 metres out, a free and another with the fist to make it 5 point to 3 after 27mins. Sean Sheridan picked up a ball around the middle and carried it right through the Kilbride defence and pointed to make it 6 point to 3 for Longwood at half time

Kilbride were first to register in the second half before David Dixon got fouled after great work and Karl Ennis pointed from the free. Karl then set up Martin Birmingham to finish soccer style for Longwood's first goal of the game after 37 minutes. Quick thinking from Anthony Healy from a free allowed Sean Sheridan to sneak in for Longwood's second goal to make it 2-7 to 0-4.
