Despite earlier confusion about playable pitches and venues, Drumconrath made it two wins out of two in Division 4. Drumconrath dominated possession throughout the game but didn't pull away until the end of the second half.
After Niall "Toasteen" Martin was dragged down in the square, Leighton Irwin took a well placed penalty to gave the Drums an early lead. Shorty after Stephen Crosby added to the goal with two wonderful point from play.An injury to Aidan Tighe late in the first half gave Paddy Dunne a chance to earn his place with the first team. Moynalty began a rally capitalising on some simple Drumconrath mistakes totting up 4 points to leave the score 1-2 to 0-4 at half time.
Drumconrath came out after half time with a new fire in there bellys and began to pull away from Moynalty. Crosby reopened the half with a point while Irwin's four points from frees put the game firmly from Moynalty's grasp. Neither team could play to their full potential due to the poor weather conditions, but the Drum's look to be building from the past previous seasons
Best for the Drums were, Brian "chunk"Hanratty, Peter Tighe, Stephen Crosby, Christy Tighe and substitute Gavin Finneagan did well also.
