Curraha relinquished home advantage to entertain an under strength Kilbride team under lights in Ashbourne on Wednesday evening.

Kilbride are rebuilding and it showed with some of the football they played. With 8 players missing from last year the game started brightly. It took almost 8 minutes for the first score to come and that came from Curraha. Kilbride did mount some attacks but the rustiness was there. Kilbride only started back training last week as they were preparing for Div 5.

Curraha raced in a 4 pts lead and it was 20 minutes before Kilbride got off the mark with a well taken point from Neill Ferritter. Kilbride were starting to have more and more pocession until a miss guided pass in the middle of the field opened up the Kilbride defence and Curraha punished them with a well taken goal from David Coyle after good work from Conor McCann and Locky Keogh. Curraha tagged on two more point before the break to leave it 1-6 to 0-1 at the break.

The second half was a much closer affair with Curraha struggling to convert a lot of chances. Kilbride rallied and played alot better in the last third adding two more points before the game finished.
