Match report on Meath junior D quarter final, Trim versus Summerhill, played in Bective last Saturday evening.

Half time score Summerhill 2-9, Trim 0-4.
Full time score Summerhill 2-14, Trim 0-10.

Trim were well beaten by a stronger and fitter Summerhill outfit. The signs were ominous early on in the game as the "Hill" raced into to a 0-4 to 0-0 in the first ten minutes. Trim scored their first point on thirteen minutes and some signs of a come back were on the cards but Summerhill responded immediately with two goals to put the game out of reach for the Trim lads. The first half ended on a score of 2-9 to 0-4 with Trim relying on the trustee boot of Gary Clarke who scored their four points from frees.

Although the game was out of reach the Trim lads put up a more spirited fight in the second half. They matched their opponents on the score board but were not able to reduce the large half time deficit.
Although being well beaten in their quarter final the team and management committee of Micky Fay, Sean Gilsenan and Dermot McGuiness must be complimented for getting to the play-offs.
