Meath's Joe Sheridan
Meath boss Eamonn O'Brien has been handed a major boost ahead of this Saturday's Division Two clash against neighbours Westmeath with the news that ace attacker Joe Sheridan is fit and available for selection.

The Seneschalstown clubman made a full recovery from the hamstring injury he picked at the end of January against Dublin in the O'Byrne Cup to score 1-2 in a challenge game win over Cork last Saturday, which he came away from unscathed.

"Joe is 100 percent fit and he will obviously be in the reckoning when we sit down to pick the team," said O'Brien.

Sheridan is one of five Meath footballers who had their heads shaved as part of the Today FM/Irish Cancer Foundation 'Shave or Dye' campaign last weekend.

Seamus Kenny, Mark Ward, Paddy O'Rourke and Eoghan Harrington, together with Sheridan, were the players involved in the Meath event, which is being replicated nationwide after Armagh footballer Aaron Kernan approached county squads to support the event.

It is hoped to raise €50,000 for the charity through the participation of GAA players nationally.
