A FL: Duleek/Bellewstown remain unbeaten

Duleek/Bellewstown 2-12 Blackhall Gaels 1-5 Duleek/Bellewstown still remain unbeaten in the Division 1 league and they continued their winning way's by overcoming Blackhall Gaels by a convincing score line in Batterstown on Tuesday night last. Peter Curran opened up the scoring after two minutes of play to set the East Meath men on their way. This was followed by a point from full forward man Casey Dunne and it was Dunne again who fired home a well executed goal after Mark Collins had set him through with an excellent pass moments later. Corner Stephen Nolan was next to step up to the mark as he pointed an excellent effort from his left boot. Further points from Mark Collins, Chris Carney and a mighty effort from Captain Gordon Hynes left it 1-06 to 0-2 in favour of the men in green and gold at the interval. Chris Carney opened up the scoring for Duleek/Bellewstown at the restart of the second half with a superb left booted effort. Moments later the determined Donard Ferguson set Nolan through with a fine pass who fired over from close range. Nolan was again on the score board as he flicked a Chris Carney pass to the back of the Blackhall Gaels net and finished the game as a contest. Points from Peter Curran, Mark Collins, Darren Mills and James Deveraux meant that the travelling side came out easy winners in the end as it finished up Duleek/Bellewstown 2-12 Blackhall Gaels 1-05.
