A FL: Na Fianna and Nobber finish all square
July 01, 2009

Na Fianna's Johnny Baldwin
Na Fianna 2-9
Nobber 2-9
Na Fianna secured their first point in the Division 3 'A' league thanks to a last minute Daniel Queeney point against Nobber in Enfield on Tuesday evening.
The South Meath team opened the scoring with points from Declan Brennan and Dean Henrick. The visitors had matters levelled before county minor Harrison Silke scored the first of Na Fianna's two goals. Further points from Silke, Queeney and Diarmuid Bailey plus a Dean Barrett goal left the Na Fianna men leading at half time on a score line of 2-5 to 1-5 - the Nobber goal coming from the penalty spot.
The pace of the game increased in the second half with Nobber dominating for long periods. However excellent play by Daniel Gleeson, Christy Cosgrove and Ollie Lewis kept the attacks at bay. A second penalty for Nobber, with ten minutes remaining, gave the visitors a two point lead. However points from Johnny Baldwin and Queeney's equaliser secured the home team's opening League point.
