Ratoath 8-11 Kiltale 0-06
The U21's came into today's game against Kiltale, boosted by an emphatic win against Trim last week. However Ratoath knew that respect had to be given to this Kiltale team, and so they went to work in an earnest and honest way.
Facing into the wind in the first half they had notched up two wides by the fourth minute but it was Kiltale who clocked up the first point less than a minute later. However Daragh Kelly got Ratoath's first from a free on Niall Murphy on the sixth minute. By the ninth minute Gavin McGowan had found the net with a well taken goal. Midway through the first half it was still a close affair with Ratoath leading 1-02 to 0-04. But all changed when Cian Rogers got a hat-trick in as many minutes, to bring the half time score 4-06 to 0-05.
In the second half things didn't get any better for Kiltale, as Ratoath were in control and the goals kept coming with Cian Rogers, Sean Hanrahan, Ben McGowan and Gavin McGowan all finding the net thanks to good teamwork from one to fifteen.
Final score Ratoath 8-11 Kiltale 0-06. Ratoath now go through to the final against Na Fianna at a date to be confirmed.
