Wednesday date for junior footballers and U21 hurlers

The Meath Junior footballers and Under 21 hurlers make their first appearances of the year next Wednesday May 24th.

Junior manager Conor O'Donoghue will get his first taste of Leinster championship action next Wednesday when Meath take on Kildare.

The 'Lilywhites' fielding an U23 team defeated Meath in last year's competition.

O'Donoghue could call on Meath senior panellists James Toher, James McEntee and Kevin Ross. Former seniors Chris O'Connor, Paddy Gilsenan and Damien Carroll were part of that team that lost out to Kildare at Newbridge last year.

Throw in next Wednesday May 24th in Pairc Tailteann is at 7.30pm while over in Trim at the same date and time the Meath U21 hurlers make their championship bow when they take on Westmeath at Lomans Park.
