Mayo county board won't be making public the findings of a report into the circumstances which led to the resignations of joint football managers Pat Holmes and Noel Connelly last autumn.

The independent mediator in the dispute between the players and former management, Martin Conroy, was given the task of investigating the issues at the heart of the standoff and to draw up a charter to prevent such conflicts from arising again. But despite Mayo chairman Mike Connelly stating last November that he would put Conroy's report to county board delegates for ratification in January, it remains under wraps.

"At this stage we've moved on pretty well, I don't intend to go back," Connelly is quoted in the Western People.

"We had a very difficult time at that particular time so I'd rather look forward. We have our U21s playing in the All-Ireland final and I think that's where we should be looking, not looking back because it's not going to bring anything to the table that's going to improve anything within this organisation."
