It's the busiest Sunday of the year so far for county finals with seven football and five hurling deciders taking place.

In football, the Clare final between Cratloe and Eire Og will enjoy more of the spotlight than usual owing to the fact that Cratloe are seeking to complete the second leg of a historic SHC and SFC double.

Carlow, Cavan, Limerick, Offaly, Sligo and Wicklow will also stage their showpiece games this afternoon.

The biggest crowd of the day is expected in the soon-to-be redeveloped Pairc Ui Chaoimh for the Cork SHC final between Sarsfields and Glen Rovers. There are also hurling finals down for decision in Meath, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo.

The All-Ireland club SHC also begins in earnest when the Ulster semi-finals are staged. Newly-crowned Antrim champions Cushendall will meet Slaughtneil of Derry in Owenbeg, while Lisbellaw (Fermanagh) and Portaferry (Down) face off in Clones.
