Moran happy to play anywhere

Mayo's Andy Moran
Mayo's Andy Moran admits that he is glad to play anywhere that John O'Mahony asks him, after lining-out in defence during his county's mauling of Roscommon last Saturday in Castlebar.
The Ballaghaderren clubman kicked four points while playing at corner-forward in Mayo's defeat of New York in the Connacht SFC quarter-final, but was deployed at wing back against the Rossies where he had no problems either.
"I felt at the start of the National League I probably wasn't a natural back, but I feel I've grown into it," explained Moran.
"It looked like I was going to be pushed into the forwards again, but needs be, I went back wing back again today. And you never know, the next day I could be the number 10, number 13I'm just happy to be on the first 15."
As for the manner in which Mayo defeated Roscommon last weekend, it came as no surprise to the versatile Moran, who believes his team have improved since the win in New York.
"I felt the performance was coming," he said.
"We were flying in training in the last few weeks, moving very well...I think really coming into the game, we had our heads tuned in and we really wanted a good first ten minutes, and that materialised. For the last couple of years, we've struggled to close out games when we went a point or two up. Today we went four, five, six up, and it's the sign of an improving team, and hopefully we improve further over the year."
