Ardee St Mary's v St Patricks
Páirc Mhuire, Ardee

The Mary's hosted St Pat's in Ardee on an evening that can only be described as perfect when it came to playing football.

The Mary's started off the brightest with Darren Clarke opening the scoring with a point from a free after two minutes and one from play soon after. St Pat's were slow to start with their first point coming after 9 minutes and eventually levelling the score after 16 minutes.
A Mary's injury to Niall Eccles resulted in Fergal Diamond entering the game.
The Mary's kept trying to find their next score with Robbie Leavy narrowly missing a long range effort, to the right of the post, but Ronan Carroll eventually found the target from 35 yards out to give the Mary's their 3rd point after almost 20 mins since their last score had been registered.
Some class from Darren Clarke followed when he turned the defender left and right and popped it over the bar from an acute angle with his left foot.
St Pat's followed with a point of their own leaving the half time score -
Ardee St Mary's 0-4
St Patricks 0-3

Second Half
Once again the Mary's were the first to register a score with Alan Kirk scoring a point from a free.
St Pat's registered two quick points in succession to bring the match level but with two great plays from Kian Moran - one in which he got himself on the score sheet and the other after some great determination when he won the ball back and laid it off to Ronan Carroll who delivered the ball first time to Clarke who popped it over the bar.
St Pat's levelled again to bring the score to 7 points each.
Peter Duffy pulled off a great one on one save but unfortunately the Mary's defence never managed to fully clear the ball which resulted in St Pat's getting a point and leading for the first time in the game after 50 mins.
7 more points from St Pat's without any reply for the Mary's left the Mary's with an uphill task. A consolation point from a free from Clarke was to be the last score of the game for both teams.

A 10 minute dominate spell from St Pat's left the Mary's with too much work to do and St Pat's experience prevailed over a youthful Mary's team.
