Division 4B League Round 3 result

It was a glorious evening & perfect conditions for round 3 of the Division 4B league which saw Sean O'Mahonys coming to Pairc Baile Fiach. Hunterstown were still looking for their first win of the league. Right from the start Hunterstown showed determination & there was some excellent passing from all the players. Stuart Callan got the scoring underway with a point in the opening few minutes. But it was youngdebutante Aaron McCabe who stole the show, scoring 2 consecutive goals, closely followed by a Stuart Callan point. Sean O'Mahonys reduced the large gap by scoring a goal to go along with their 6 points.  A beautifully passed ball into the arms of Aaron McCabe, helped him score his 3rd goal of the match with such ease.

Half forward Robbie Clarke helped Hunterstown continue with their lead by scoring a point in the opening few minutes. However, this was quickly cancelled out by the Sean O'Mahonys. It was Hunterstown centre-half back & captain Martin Lennon, who worked his way up the field to score a well-deserved point. But again the O'Mahonys cancelled that out. Hunterstown were holding onto a comfortable enough lead over the O'Mahonys, but this was extended further when mid-fielder Paddy Matthews  skillfully passed the ball into Stuart Callan to secure Hunterstowns 4th goal of the match. In the last 10 minutes Hunterstown lead extended back to 5 points when Robbie Clarke scored a superb point from quite distance. Unfortunately, things got worse for the O'Mahonys when one of their players was shown a red card, with about 10 minutes left.
