The Poc Fada A.G.M tto place on Monday 16th April at The Sportsmans, Dundalk. The Meeting, with representives from Armagh & Louth was also attended by National Chairperson Donie Nealon & chaired by P.McMahon [ Louth ].
A Comprehensive Reports was presented by the Secretary [ P.Hamilton ] to the A.G.M.. The additional Funding received by the Committee from Louth Council also Newry & Mourne was a welcome development during the year. Sponsor M.Donnelly was thanked for his ongoing support over the years to the Committee. The 2012 Programme came in for great praise especially re. articles celebrating the Winners from 1961 - 2011. The moving of the Poc Fada Launch to Carrickdale Hotel was deemed a success. The use of inter County Referees by the Camogie Poc Fada was to be expanded during the coming year. Juvenile Competition in Cooley Kickhams attracted 12 teams in Blitz format.

Treasurers Report was presented on behalf of P.McGinn [ unavoidably absent ] and it outlined both the Income & Expenditure for the past 12 months. Advertising in Programme also Grant Aid & Sponsorship helped defray 50th… year activities. Croke Park contribution appreciated in funding the Poc Fada , also provision of Medals & Sliothars.
Following a discussion both Reports were adopted by the A.G.M.

Outgoing Chairperson P.McMahon thanked all who supported Poc Fada over the past year and in particular the Committee members from Armagh and Louth. The Officers and Committee had worked extremely hard to ensure that once again the event was a great success. He paid tribute to all our Sponsors and Competitors.

Donie Nealon , National Chairman , re-iterated the sentiments expressed by P.McMahon. He expressed his admiration re. M.Donnelly who stayed with Poc Fada through the years and welcomed the additional funding received during 2011. He also praised the Editorial team [ P.McGinn / S.Larkin / D.Callan / E.Callan & P.Hamilton ] and all who contributed to the 2011 Programme . He thanked outgoing Chairperson P.McMahon for his work . He wished the incoming Committee every success for the 2012 Poc Fada.

Newly appointed Chairman John Moley noted he was looking forward to leading a dedicated Committee of solid Poc Fada workers in the coming years ahead and appreciated the honour shown to him on his selection. He acknowledged D.Nealon for his attendance at the AGM.
