Louth fans will be encouraged by the two SF challenge wins last weekend.

On Saturday, the Wee County retained the McGeough Cup with a battling 0-8 to 0-7 victory over Down at Haggardstown, with midfielders Brian Donnelly and Ronan Carroll notching four points between them.

And Darren Clarke bagged 2-7 at Oliver Plunkett Park on Sunday as Crossmaglen Rangers were beaten by 2-10 to 1-9.

Peter Fitzpatrick looked at 35 different players over the course of the two matches (with only David Collier appearing in both).
