Peninsula rivalries renewed
August 27, 2010
The clash of St Patricks and Cooley Kickhams is the highlight of this weekend's SFC action.
Both teams are already through to the quarter-final stage, but Sunday evening's eagerly-awaited meeting (6:30) in Dowdallshill will determine who progresses as Group B winners.
The game will see Louth players Paddy Keenan, Ray Finnegan and Dessie Finnegan on one side, with their county colleagues Brian White, Sean O'Neill and Neil Gallagher in opposition.
Elsewhere this weekend, Newtown Blues and Naomh Malachi meet at The Grove on Friday night (6:45) to see who finishes second in Group A. The Blues lost a thriller to holders Mattock at the same venue last weekend, 1-14 to 2-10. Mattock advance as table-toppers.
Dundalk Gaels, Dreadnots, Kilkerley Emmets and Naomh Mairtin complete the quarter-final line-up.
