Louth boss wipes slate clean

July 22, 2010

Louth manager Peter Fitzpatrick
Peter Fitzpatrick is expecting no sympathy vote on Saturday.

Fitzer's Wee County side were cruelly denied a Leinster title by a refereeing howler two weeks ago, but the Dundalk man has consigned that injustice to history:

"We're just happy to get back playing football. It's a glamour tie, back in Croke Park again, and we see it as a great opportunity to get back to winning ways.

"They're grown men and they have to concentrate on the next game. They'll get no sympathy votes from anyone, so they have to pick themselves up and get on with it.

"Dublin have their own problems this year, so they won't be too worried about us."
