Donnelly has no regrets

Louth's Brian Donnelly
Louth's Brian Donnelly has no regrets about trying his hand in the AFL and would recommend the experience to anyone.
The former Wee County minor, who celebrates his 22nd birthday today, will fly back to Ireland tomorrow after failing to make in it Aussie Rules after an injury-plagued two years. Donnelly was Adelaide's first international recruit, but was unable to make the breakthrough at senior level and won't be returning to the Cooley Kickhams or Louth colours any time soon following shoulder reconstruction.
"I've probably been thinking about (going home) since I came over here," he admitted. "I want to play Gaelic at home and homesickness is a bit of a factor too.
"I have no regrets and I am happy with the decision to come over here. If I go back two years, I would do exactly the same thing again. I'd definitely encourage people to do it - it has been a great experience."
