Fitzer would take one-point win

Louth manager Peter Fitzpatrick says he'd take a one-point win in Sligo this weekend.

The Wee County have made a blistering start to the calendar year, leading to rising expectations, but 'Fitzer' is keeping his feet on the ground.

The manager knows there's no such thing as two easy points on the road...

"We're taking it one game at a time. Sligo are a good side and they were unlucky not to beat Kerry last year.

"All we can ask for is to play these tough games and, going down there, we'd take a one-point win.

"Last year Louth won their first game and went on to lose a few, so it's all about keeping the whole thing going and not getting over-confident.

"It's looking good at the moment, so if we can build and go forward together and have a bit of patience, we can do well."
