Cumann Lu was established in 2006 to give long term financial assistance to Louth football. Across the country our rival counties are spending vast sums of money on team training, coaching and development. Firstly a big thank you to all Cumann Lu members who to date have contributed over 140,000 to help meet these costs. Secondly, we now have the proper facilities in place in Darver and Qualified personnel to coach and develop our stars of the future. Fantastic work is been done at under age level by Og Sport, The Development Squads and the Minor Board but we need to continually invest in our teams if players are to progress through to the Senior Team and compete successfully at Provincial and All-Ireland level. Counties like Tyrone have proven that the foundations for future success start at underage level, but unfortunately this requires continual financial investment.
