Longford's Paul Barden is looking forward to returning to Croke Park.

Last year, Barden had the honour of accepting the division 4 Cup in GAA headquarters and he will return there this Saturday evening when Longford take on Wexford in the division 3 final.

The long serving forward is getting use to playing at the Jones Road venue, something he wasn't so familiar with when he started out on the county scene.

"When I started playing you never really got the chance to play in Croke Park, we were always sent to the lesser grounds," Barden revealed to the Longford Leader.

"The young lads like playing up there, a lot of them who are involved with the senior squad now have played there and won there. This team won a title there last year and it's great to be going up there with a bit of confidence." Tweet
