Longford face Roscommon in the Hastings Cup U21 competition on Saturday.

The Round Two match gets underway at Clonbonny, Lanesboro at 2:30 and Padraic Davis' charges will be bidding for a second successive win.

Backboned by a number of last year's team that reached the Leinster U21 final, Longford got their campaign up and running with a convincing 1-13 to 1-7 victory over Leitrim at Ardagh last weekend.

Killoe Young Emmets' Mark Hughes scored 1-2 in that win, with James McGivney and Robbie Smyth hitting 0-3 each.

Longford also have a game against Cavan in the Hastings Cup as they continue preparations for their Leinster championship opener against Kilkenny or Louth on March 7th. Tweet
