We defeated Cappagh/Kilcornan in the 3rd round of the west league on a wet blustery evening in Culhane Park Glin last Thursday.We were once again minus 6-7 regulars due to a number of different circumstances.We went in at the interval 2 points to the good playing against a strong breeze.We defended well and scored at vital stages to keep our opponents at arms reach.If we had cut down on some silly mistakes and had our kicking boots on we would have been out of sight earlier in the game,but in the end we were happy to win by 3 and claim the 2 points on offer which should seal a final berth for the 4th consecutive year.Team:S Lyons,P Fitzgerald,B Mulroe,T Scanlon,B Donovan,P Moloney(c),P Costello,P Horan(0-1),E Horan,B Culhane,G Lyons(0-5),P Scanlon(0-1),K Moore(0-2),A Woods,O Wallace.Sub:T Culhane

We were scheduled to play neighbours Gerald/Griffins in the west league last Tuesday but it was postponed and rescheduled to be played on Tuesday 15th in Glin.


Meeting
Next club meeting is on next Friday 18th in Barretts Bar at 10pm.Topics to be discussed are membership,fund raising, and field development .
