The SHC and IHC get underway this weekend with a full round of fixtures down for decision.

Thirty-two teams set out on the road to what they hope will end in glory. If the bookies are to be believed, the SHC is a three-horse race between Kilmallock, reigning county and Munster champions Na Piarsaigh and Adare. Kilmallock are 9/4 favourites, followed by Na Piarsaigh on 5/2 and Adare on 4/1. Patrickswell and Murroe-Boher are both available at 10/1.

The action begins this evening in Garryspillane and Kilmallock respectively where Na Piarsaigh open their defence against South Liberties and Croom take on Hospital-Herbertstown. Tomorrow's games see Kilmallock up against Knockaney, Adare meeting Granagh/Ballingarry and Patrickswell taking on Effin.

Then on Sunday, Ahane face Murroe/Boher in Cappamore, while Emmets meet Bruree in Kilmallock. Tweet
