Na Piarsaigh have picked up from where they left off last year by winning the U21HC title for a seventh time.

Last Saturday in Bruff, the city side overcame Doon 2-17 to 3-10 to make amends for their defeat to Kilmallock in last year's decider. County seniors Shane Dowling and Kevin Downes scored goals in each half to give the sky blues a vital edge. Na Piarsaigh always looked the more likely winners. They led 1-11 to 1-5 at the break and had stretched their advantage to 11 points before Doon mounted a late comeback.

In the U21HC 'A' final, meanwhile, Richard Ryan scored 1-9 as Ahane saw off Kilfrush Gaels' challenge on a 1-18 to 0-17 scoreline. Tweet
