This was a very tight and exciting game, the better team won on the day, at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford lead by 1-8 to 0-1, with the goals for Dromcollogher/ Broadford coming from Keith Lacey and Paul Madigan, the star of the show was Michéal Brosnan scoring 5 points on the day all from play. Congrats to Minor Hurlers Management Team lead by Pat McCarthy and our Minor Hurlers lead by John Barrett Captain on beating Mick Neville's in the West Minor A Hurling Championship Final and the best of luck in County Semi-Final, more details during the week. Keith Lacey scored the first five points of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford, 4 points from frees and the other from play and then Mick Neville's replied with a point from Darren Jones from a free to leave four points between the sides with 20 minutes gone in the game. Brian Noonan scored the next point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Keith Lacey scored the 1-1 for Dromcollogher/ Broadford, the goal came in the 24th minute of the game.
Michéal Brosnan scored the last point of the first half for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave 10 points between the sides at the break. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-8 to Mick Neville's 0-1.
Darren Jones of Mick Neville's replied with a pointed 65m and then Keith Lacey of Dromcollogher/ Broadford replied with a point from play. Mick Neville's scored the next point and these points came from Darren Jones and Sean Sheehan. Michael Brosnan scored the next point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford with 40 minutes gone in the game to leave nine points between the sides once again.

Keith Lacey scored another point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford just before the end of the game to leave 13 points between the sides at full-time and send the Tommy Quaid Memorial Cup back to Dromcollogher/ Broadford for the first since 2002. John thanked the mentors of Gerard Madigan, Pat McCarthy and Seamus Lordan, he thanked Jim Long for referring the game and he also thanked Mick Neville's for a sporting game and gave them three cheers and he also thanked Feenagh/ Kilmeedy for use of their field.

This was a very tight game of football played in very good conditions, in Newcastle West, on last Saturday night, well done to our Management Team of our Senior Footballers lead by John Brudair and Senior Footballers lead by Tom McLoughlin Captain on getting the win over St. Kieran's and the best of luck in the County Semi-Final, on Weekend September 26th. Derry McCarhty scored the first goal of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford with 1 minute and 30 seconds gone in the game and then Garrett Noonan of Dromcollogher scored the next point of the game to put four points between the sides with 3 minutes gone in the game. St. Kieran's replied with next five points without reply from Dromcollogher/ Broadford and these points came from John Doyle, Patrick Windle, Damien Cahill and two from Anthony Molyneaux.
Ray Lynch scored the next point of the game from Dromcollogher/ Broadford to bring the sides back on level terms with 27 minutes gone in the game and then Michael Flynn put St. Kieran's back into the lead again. Derry McCarthy replied with a point just before the break to bring sides back on level terms at half-time. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-3 to St. Kieran's 0-6.
Anthony Molyneaux gave St. Kieran's back the lead once again just after half-time from a free and then Ray Lynch replied with the equaliser for Dromcollogher/ Broadford with 33 minutes gone in the game. Michéal Reidy scored the next point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to give us back the lead once again. Pat Donnelly of Dromcollogher scored a pointed free to put two points between the sides and then Anthony Molyneaux of St. Kieran's replied with a pointed free to leave a point between the sides with 40 minutes gone in the game.
Gary Egan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford replied with a point and then John Doyle scored another point from St. Kieran's to leave a point between the sides once again. Michael O'Sullivan scored the last point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford just before the full-time whistle to leave 2 points between the sides at end of the game and this win sends Dromcollogher/ Broadford into the Semi-Final of the County Senior Football Championship.
