Ryan a major doubt for UL
March 04, 2010

Tipperary's and UL star Willie Ryan
University of Limerick look likely to be without one of their top forwards in Wille Ryan for tomorrow afternoon's Fitzgibbon Cup semi-final against Waterford IT at Dangan.
Ryan, who top-scored in UL's quarter-final win with 1-9, suffered a hamstring tear whilst training with Tipperary last week and has trying to get back to fitness, but it looks as though time is against the Tommevara player.
"Willie is a major worry for us," said UL manager Ger Cunningham. "He suffered a Grade One tear to his hamstring in training with Tipp. We've been doing everything we can since then to get him right. But unfortunately I think time could come against us."
Centre-back John Devane is another injury concern, after picking up a dead-leg in the win over UCC, although Cunningham holds out better hope for the defender, saying "we're hoping that he'll pull through."
