Ahane in association with Limerick coaching and games and the Primary schools are sponsoring a coaching initiative in the 3 primary schools.
Its purpose is to introduce hurling and footballs skills to all boys and girls from 1st to 6th class with a 20 week/ 3hour program. The course uses the” fundamentals” program developed by the GAA. Our 3 club members Sean Madden, Colm O Connor and Fergus Ahern work with a teacher from each school and the program is overseen by our own Pat Culhane from Limerick Coaching and Games. The course commenced in late Jan and the feedback to date has been very positive. Many thanks to the support we have received >from the our 3 club volunteers and the school principles .
The East Senior Hurling Championship match v Caherline, fixed for Sunday next, has been postponed to a future date.
