Limerick ask for earlier start at Wexford Park

The Limerick County Board have requested that their All-Ireland senior hurling championship first round qualifier against Wexford be brought forward by two hours. The Treaty County are due to clash with Colm Bonnar's side at Wexford Park on Saturday, July 11 at 7.00pm but have now asked that the game be moved to 5.00pm to suit their supports who face a 225-mile round trip. "We asked for the game to start at 5.00pm to allow for our travelling support," said Limerick GAA secretary, Mike O'Riordan. The game is understood to be one of a number of qualifiers between both the All-Ireland football and hurling series' which has been requested for a change of time to suit teams' travelling purposes.
