Mulligan to undergo knee surgery
January 06, 2012

Sligo's Eamonn O'Hara and Emlyn Mulligan of Leitrim during the Connacht SFC game at Markievicz Park.
Following confirmation that Leitrim footballers will be without several key players for the 2012 season, joint managers Brian Breen and George Dugdale have been dealt another blow with news that star forward Emlyn Mulligan will have to undergo knee surgery.
However, the injury is said not to be as serious as previous cruciate injuries Mulligan has had to endure.
The Melvin Gaels clubman will miss the first two fixtures of Leitrim's NFL Division 4 campaign versus Limerick and Carlow but a bye in the third round gives Mulligan plenty of time to recover for their next fixture at home to London.
