Club championship round-up
There were four county senior football championship games down for decision over the past Bank Holiday weekend, throwing up some intriguing results.
On Saturday, Bornacolla handed Drumreilly a six-point defeat (0-13 to 0-7) In Group One to catch up with Annaduff, who received a bye in round two having won their opening round convincingly.
In Group Two, Melvin Gaels lost out to Ballinamore-Sean O'Heslin's by 1-10 to 2-4 at Carrick-On-Shannon, while St Mary's-Kiltoghert had no problems with Allen Gaels in the earlier game at Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada, where they were 1-15 to 0-11 victors.
In the intermediate grade, Aughawillan were the day's big winners as they trounced Annaduffy 1-16 to 0-3, with the other three games being won by a whisker.
Firstly, Gorletteragh only had two points to spare over St Mary's-Kiltoghert (0-10 to 0-8), while the clash between Glenfarne/Kiltyclogher and Aughnasheelin finished in favour of a 1-9 to 1-8 win to the latter, and the was as much to spare when Glencar-Manorhamilton lost out to Dromahair-St Patrick's by 0-10 to 1-6 in Group Four.
