Mickey Moran has declared that he and his management team want to continue into the third year of their term with the Leitrim senior football team.

Moran watched from the sidelines at St Conleth's Park in Newbridge as his side made another early exit from the All-Ireland SFC at the hands of Kildare, but it hasn't discouraged the Derry native enough to step down.

"I hope that I am still involved next year, that is for others to decide," Moran told the Leitrim Observer.

"In terms of results it doesn't look powerful for us but I know everybody, players and all, have improved individually and collectively and I think there is something there.

"I know it is for another day at this stage and I'll have to go back and have a think about it all myself but it is up to the Board and other people who have the power.

"I can honestly say that all of us, players and management, our consciences our clear, we've emptied the tank. Things didn't go for us and I don't think that score-line totally reflects the match."

Moran's right hand man, John Morrison, also made no qualms over the fact that he wanted to stay involved with the Connacht minnows into 2011.

"I've no reason to leave unless this county board says go, then I'll go because I've done a job, I've enjoyed my job," he said.
