Birthday Greetings:
We would like to congratulate John Farrelly who celebrated a big birthday at the weekend A great night was had by family and friends
Division 2 League.
We were beaten by Aughnasheelin in the park on Saturday evening last. A few missed goal chances was the difference in the end, a little more hard training by all would help our cause, so hopefully players & management will give it a big push in the next few weeks as we seem to be lacking in fitness. Check fixtures for games this weekend.
Scor:
Scor takers place in Drumreilly on this Saturday Night, we are taking part in a few events so we hope to see a good crowd
on the night, starting time 8 o clock.
Membership:
Dont forget membership for all players, supporters is now due.

Coiste Na nÓg,
Minors were beaten by Glenfarne in the 9 a side on Sunday last in Glenfarne Minor game at the weekend so training for all minors as usual.
New D.V.D.
Well done to Deirdre Moran who launched a new D.V.D. last Sunday Night in Mc Caffreys, The D.V.D.called "Up for the Chat" covers football in Aughavas from 1984 to 2009 and features many past and present footballers, trainers & personalities, It is part of her Leaving Certificate and is good value at only 10.00 euro, and can be purchased from Deirdre or in the local shops,
There are some humorous and entertaining footage on the D.V.D and well worth viewing and what better way of passing a night.
Bon Voyage:
One of our greatest footballers Antoin Brennan is heading for America this week, Antoin who was a towering corner back always gave his best and due to work & other commitments he found training hard to attend and one of his biggest highlight when he marked a famous Glencar Manor player a few years ago in a Junior final which we won, A big loss to the club but don't be surprised if you see the club flying him back for the championship in the summer Hope things go well for you in America and that all our friends & exiles will give you lots of work " And as the man says" no better man to do it, Have a good time Antoin and don't forget you can do our lotto on line while over there and I guess you will be meeting up with some of our past players Turlough Williams & of course Noel "Stumpy" Mc Brien and the crack will be good.
Under 14:
Training for all under 14 players after mass next Sunday As the league is around the corner it is vital all players are out as the turn out last Sunday was disappointing.
Under 12 Blitz
The Turlough Conefrey blitz takes place on Sunday the 28th of March in the park Teams from Aughavas, Cloone, Carrigallen, & Gortletteragh taking part
