Regan blow for Leitrim

Leitrim's Colin Regan
Leitrim boss Mickey Moran has been dealt a major blow with the news that his veteran attacker Colin Regan could be out of action for up to four months after picking up a knee injury whilst training with his club.
The Kinlough man suffered the injury on Sunday and is set to undergo scans today to find out the full extent of the injury and whether or not he will stand a chance of being fit in time for Leitrim's Connacht SFC semi-final against either London or Roscommon in June.
"It looks like a medial ligament injury at the moment, I'm getting a scan done on Friday for the proper diagnosis but it will be a race against time for the championship," Regan told the Leitrim Observer newspaper.
"It takes three to four months to come back from a medial knee injury. Boys have come back quicker but that depends on whether the ligament is completely gone but I'm praying that there is no cruciate damage."
