NFL 4: Deise deliver
February 07, 2010
Waterford finished strongly to claim a great 0-13 to 0-10 victory over Leitrim in Ballinamore.
The hosts looked comfortable as they led this Division Four opener by four points with only twelve minutes left, but the Decies power across the winning line.
The winners led by 0-6 to 0-5 at the break but conceded five successive scores thereafter and were also stunned by Gareth Phelan's penalty save from Robert Ahern.
However, John Owens' team is clearly not lacking conviction and they won the day, with Wayne Hennessy and Brian Wall finishing on 0-4 apiece.
