Proposals to radically reform underage football in Leitrim have been gunned down.

Delegates of Coiste na nOg decided to vote against plans to revamp the structure of juvenile football in the county.

The proposals had been put forward following the County Board's underage structures review.

The motion would have seen the abolishment of 9-a-side competitions in favour of 13- and 15-a-side, but was overwhelmingly rejected. Tweet
