Glencar/Manorhamilton Club notes

CONNACHT TITLE FOR SCOR FIGURE DANCERS Congratulations to our Scor Figure Dancers who claimed a Connacht Title for the Club at the Scor Na nÓg competition held in Banada on Sunday. They now go through to All Ireland Scor. The Glencar/Manor Figure Dancers were Brendan & Declan Byrne, Shane Hennigan, Eoghan O'Neill, Bronagh Rooney, Orla Fox, Lisa & Sheena Ferguson. The All Ireland Scor Na nÓg finals will take place on the 20th February in Athlone. Congratulations also to James Hazlete from the Drumkeerin Club who won the Solo Singing competition. CLUB MEMBERSHIP NIGHT This Friday night the 29th January the Club will have an open registration/membership night in the Community Centre from 7pm until 9pm. All club membership will be collected on the night. Players and non-playing members are asked to attend from underage right through to senior level in both ladies and men's codes. HURLING NEWS Indoor hurling will resume on Thursday the 04th February in the Comprehensive Gym. U10's at 6pm, U12's/U14's at 7pm and Senior/Minor training at 7.30pm. A big thank you to all those who helped with bag packing in Dunnes stores last weekend especially Gerry Gilgunn, Tracey Stewart and Carmel Loughlin who helped out with supervising. A reminder to all hurlers that there is a club membership night in the Community Centre this Friday night from 7pm - 9pm. CLUB DRAW The Club are currently selling tickets for our 20 draw which will take place at the end of February. The following are the prises on offer. 1st Prise - 2,000 - co-sponsored by the Duffy Family, Market Bar, Manorhamilton and the Gilmartin & Devaney Family, Manorhamilton. 2nd Prise - 500.00 - sponsored by two supporters, Glencar/Manorhamilton GAA. 3rd Prise - 400.00 - sponsored by Damien McPartland, McPartland Oils. 4th Prise - 200.00 - sponsored by Murphy & Fox Monumental's. 05th Prise - 2 Nights Bed & Breakfast & one evening meal for any Clarion Hotel. LADIES NEWS The ladies held a meeting in the Bee Park Community Centre on Friday night. At the meeting Ronan Hazlete was announced as the new Ladies Manager, he will be assisted by Declan Sheridan, Mary McDermott & Fran Faulkner. We would like to wish the new Management team and the ladies the very best of luck as they commence their new year. A reminder to all ladies that there is a club membership night in the Community Centre this Friday night from 7pm - 9pm. FBD LEAGUE Leitrim unfortunately had no luck against Galway in Ballinamore on Sunday last. From the Glencar/Manorhamilton Club, James Glancy, Darren Sweeney, Paddy Maguire all started for Leitrim while Adrian Croal was also on the panel.
