Scor County Final
Congrats to to James Hazlette who will represent Drumkeerin in the
Scor na nOg Connacht finals in in Banada, Co Mayo this Saturday 23rd
January at 3pm. James won the County Final last Sunday in
Manorhamilton in the mixed u-17 solo traditional singing category.
Here's hoping that he can bring a Connacht title back to the parish
on Saturday. Our support is with you.
Membership night
A membership night took place on Saturday the 16th in the dressing
rooms at the GAA pitch. While a large amount of membership was
collected for the year by all accounts the turnout on the night was
disappointing.
With training set to start soon players will not be covered if
membership is not paid. They will also not be able to take to the
field of play for this new year if membership is not paid.
Memberships dues are as follows:
Family: Ä35
Adult / Over 18's: Ä25
Juveniles/Students: Ä15
They can be given to Stephen Feeney or Francis Davitt. Thanks to Kevie
Forde, Daragh Flynn, Colm Clarke and Seamus Duignan for assisting on
Saturday night.
Lotto
Due to the inclement weather conditions the first lotto of the year
took place last Saturday night. Numbers drawn were 7,8,9 and 21.
There was no winner. Ä20 winners were Gerry Gallagher - Drumkeerin,
Aaron Rynn - Drumkeerin, John James Brady - Manorhamilton, John
Buckley - Sheena and Noel Maguire - Corry.
Next lotto is in Fordes on the 30th of January. Thanks to
co-ordinators for January are Joe Early, PJ Clancy and Brendan McNama
and to everyone for their continued support.
Executive meeting
Last week's cancelled Executive meeting has been re-scheduled until
this Thursday the 21st of January at 7pm. It takes place in the
Rowanberry. Can all executive members endeavour to attend.
Leitrim action
Well done to Colm Clarke who came on as a second half substitute in
Leitrim's drawn encounter with GMIT in Cloone on Sunday. Also hard
luck to Jason Beirne who was a member of the Leitrim team that lost to
Cavan on Saturday.
