GLENCAR/MANORHAMILTON CLUB NOTES LEITRIM TEAMS Best of luck to the Leitrim team as they prepare to take on Longford in Pairc Sean on Saturday evening at 7pm. Our club will be well represented with James Glancy, Adrian O'Flynn, Patrick Gilmartin and Darren Sweeney on the panel. Hard luck to the Leitrim Minors who were defeated by Roscommon on Saturday. Once again the club was well represented with 4 Glencar/Manorhamilton players starting on the day, Shane Sweeney, James O'Brien, Evan Sweeney & Aaron Hickey. LADIES NEWS The Ladies Intermediate 9 aside final is on this weekend, Sunday at 12pm in Ballinagleara against Bornacoola. All support would be greatly appreciated. DIVISION 3 LEAGUE On Friday evening we travelled to Ballinamore to take on Fenagh in an important game which we won convincingly on a score line of 4-12 to 0-7. This now puts us in a play-off position with Fenagh as they were awarded a walk over earlier in the League. This is due to take place in Leitrim Village on Sunday at 2pm with the winners gaining promotion to Division 2. Fenagh started best scoring the first three points from play, however once Glencar/Manor got going they replied with the next three points and from then on dominated proceedings scoring 3-07 to Fenagh's 0-6 in the first half. There was no let up in the second half and Glencar/Manor held Fenagh to just one point which they got in the closing stages of the game. Final score: Glencar/Manor 4-12, Fenagh 0-06. WEDDING BELLS Congratulations to Lorna Hickey and Helder Oliveiria who were married in Portugal on Sunday last. A large contingent travelled from Manorhamilton & Roscommon & soaked up the sun for the week. A great time was had by all. JUNIOR TRAINING Training continues for all junior players on Friday evening at 9pm. No junior game this weekend. FEILE PEIL NA nÓg Our under 14 boy's team will be representing our club and county at Feile Peil Na nÓg 2009 in Co. Kildare. The tournament will run from Friday 3rd July to Sunday 5th. Our host team is Naas and we play them on Friday afternoon prior to the opening parade. On Saturday we play Ellistown and Lancashire and the winning teams will progress to the finals on Sunday. MINOR CHAMPIONSHIP Today, Wednesday our Minors get their Championship campaign underway with a home game against St. Francis (Ballinagleara/Allen Gaels amalgamation) in the Minor A Championship in the Bee Park at 7pm. We wish the team and their management the very best of luck in this year's campaign. VHI CÚL CAMPS Just a reminder to parents and children that this year's Cúl camps gets underway on Monday next in the Bee Park. Last year's camps were a great success with Manorhamilton having one of the highest turnouts in the county. Congrats and well done to everyone who attended. A new kit has been designed for all those attending this year's camps. This years camps will commence on 06/July and will follow the same format as 2008 with the camp starting at 10.00am until 2.30pm. Any queries please contact Raymond Kerrigan on 087-6952741. GOLF CLASSIC The Club are hosting their Golf Classic, which will take place in Blacklion Golf Club on the 11th July. Teams of 4 cost 200 Euro and this includes Complimentary Tea & Coffee which will be available prior to tee off and a buffet carvery lunch will be provided on your return from the course and hopefully you will take home one of the many substantial prises. LEITRIM U14 LADIES Well done to the Leitrim U14 ladies who held out for a draw against a strong Offaly team in the All Ireland Shield competition. This game was played in Edgeworthstown on Sunday last. Representing the club on this team were the Feehily Twins, Emer & Niamh and Emma O'Hagan. Best of luck to the girls in the replay.
