Minors aiming for Roscommon upset
June 26, 2009
Leitrim's minor footballers will be hoping to upset former All-Ireland champions Roscommon this Saturday and book their place into this year's Connacht championship final.
The two sides clash at Dr Hyde Park, Roscommon, where a provincial final will be at stake against either Galway or Mayo and the Rossies are firm favourites to progress.
The last time these two teams met Roscommon scored a convincing 4-10 to 2-3 victory, but minor championship football is unpredictable and Leitrim will be keen to upset their opponents here and march on to a provincial final place.
Leitrim take on Roscommon in the Connacht MFC semi-finals at Dr Hyde Park, where throw-in is scheduled for 5.45pm.
