Injury causes game to be abandoned

August 06, 2014
A Junior 'A' hurling championship match had to be abandoned last weekend due to a player suffering a severe injury.

The match between Kyle and Camross had entered the final five minutes when Kyle player Eoin Quinlan suffered a rib injury in an off the ball incident.

Quinlan was struggling to breathe and needed immediate medical attention before an ambulance arrived and took the player to hospital.

Match referee Liam Moran decided to abandon the game and the game has been refixed for this Thursday night at Slieve Bloom.
