Now that the Laois senior hurlers and footballers campaigns have concluded, attention turns to the club scene and the start of the senior hurling championship this weekend.

Defending champions Camross get their campaign underway against Portlaoise, but they must do so without Zane Keenan who is in Boston at the moment, although he will return for the remainder of the championship.

Bookies have installed Rathdowney-Errill and Clough-Ballacolla as joint favourites for the title, while Borris/Kilcotton and Camross are next on the list. Tweet
