'Banty' linked with Laois
July 27, 2010

Monaghan manager Seamus McEnaney
Seamus McEnaney is the latest high-profile name to be linked with the vacant Laois football manager's post.
'Banty' is being tipped to succeed Sean Dempsey, even though he has yet to comment on his Monaghan future. However, it is widely expected that he will vacate the Farney County hotseat - which he has occupied for the last six years - once the dust settles on last Saturday's All-Ireland exit at the hands of Kildare.
It is believed Laois have already made enquiries about McEnaney's availability after both Mick O'Dwyer and Darragh O Se reportedly ruled themselves out of the running. Local man Pat Roe, who has managed Carlow, Wexford and Offaly in the past decade, remains the frontrunner for the post.
