Laois hurlers will finally get their league campaign off to a start this weekend as they host Laois at O'Moore Park on Sunday.

Last weekend's first round fixture against Kildare was called off because of the bad weather and now the O'Moore men face a tough opener against the Banner.

Clare easily saw off the challenge of Down in their opening match and they will be favourites to take the points against Laois this weekend.

Laois must still plan without Zane Keenan, James Walsh and Joe Fitzpatrick for another month at least, and they go into this match a bit cold having not played a competitive match in three weeks now. Tweet
